WHAT IS BUBUDANG?

Our name Bubudang is chosen because we wanted to share our love with all of you through our food. Our name is inspired by Bubu (부부) which means married couple in Korean Then the bu in in Bunsik (분식) which is the Korean naming for snacks and lastly dang for sikdang (식당) which means restaurant in Korean.

Having relocated from Korea to the Netherlands last year following my marriage, I embarked on a journey fueled by faith and passion. In 2022, I embraced Islam, and with this newfound conviction, I envisioned a haven where culinary authenticity meets inclusivity. Thus, the idea of our 100% Halal Korean restaurant was born. Here, amidst the vibrant tapestry of Amsterdam's dining scene, we offer more than just exquisite flavors; we provide a sanctuary where all can indulge in the rich tapestry of Korean cuisine, free from the constraints of alcohol or non-halal ingredients. Ensuring everyone feels embraced and celebrated, we've curated a menu that extends a warm welcome to vegans, vegetarians, and discerning palates alike.

THE FUTURE

As we journey towards bringing the soulful taste of Korea to Amsterdam, we've hit a few roadblocks in finding the perfect spot for our physical restaurant. But hey, we're not ones to back down from a challenge! For now, we're rocking the delivery and pick-up game, serving up smiles and delicious dishes right to your doorstep.
